Camp Kesem: Giving Tuesday
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Join Camp Kesem to raise money on Giving Tuesday at the Compass. A full day of activities are planned, including such events as "Doughnuts and Dares" and a bracelet sale. Giving Tuesday is the camp's biggest fundraising event of this semester. Camp Kesem is a nonprofit organization that strives to support children through and beyond a parent's cancer. Real Life Film Series: 'The Last One: Unfolding the AIDS Memorial Quilt'

This documentary presents a contemporary historical account of the AIDS epidemic in the United States. Its focal point is the narrative of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. Objects and Methods Lecture Series: Somnath Bhatt

VCU's Department of Graphic Design will host designer and artist Somnath Bhatt as part of the department’s Objects and Methods Lecture Series. Bhatt, born and raised in Ahmedabad, India, is an advocate for the peer-to-peer model of designing and for the decolonization of the field. Somnath’s writing has appeared in AIGA Eye on Design, MOLD Magazine and the Walker Reader. The talk will be in the theater of the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave.

Creative Production Collective Fashion Show

VCU's Creative Production Collective will host a free live fashion showcase as the culmination of its Project 421, a three-day design challenge. Individuals With Blood Pressures Between 120/80-130/90 mmHg Are Invited to Participate in a Research Study
We are inviting male and female participants with elevated blood pressure between the ages of 18-45 years to participate in a study to examine how the time of day that you eat affects your blood pressure, blood vessel function and kidney function. This study involves a screening visit to determine eligibility; two single-day interventions where you will eat a meal that we provide in the morning or late at night; and two visits to our laboratory. The study involves collection of blood, saliva and urine samples, in addition to blood pressure, blood vessel and body composition assessments. The study is conducted at VCU Kinesiology & Health Sciences Building on the Monroe Park Campus. Participants will be compensated for their time completing the study.
