Recreation and Well-Being Personal Training Packages
RecWell’s Fall 2023 personal training packages are available to VCU students and RecWell members. Participants are guided through an exercise program customized to meet their specific needs and goals by a certified personal trainer. One-on-one and Buddy training packages of three, six, 12, or 18-hour-long sessions will be offered. All new clients are required to complete the three-session introductory package.

Updates to EV Charging Fees
Changes are in effect for EV charging fees on campus. The EV charging fee structure will consist of the following: From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, $1 per hour + $0.10 per kWh. From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, $0.50 per hour + $0.10 per kWh. From 6 p.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. on Monday, $0.50 per hour + $0.10 per kWh. An idle fee will no longer be charged.

Connecting Learning With Creativity: Music, Arts and Education
VCU's School of Education is hosting a workshop series sponsored by the VCU Global Education Office International Partnership Impact Award through Friday, Sept. 1, daily from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Participants will explore various artistic techniques, including theater, improvisation, music and clowning. These techniques are specifically tailored for educators and parents, regardless of artistic background. Rams in Recovery Naloxone Trainings
Rams in Recovery hosts weekly free naloxone trainings. Naloxone is a safe drug that reverses opioid overdoses and is an important tool in combating the opioid epidemic. Individuals With Blood Pressures Between 120/80 - 130/90 mmHg Are Invited to Participate in a Research Study
We are inviting male and female participants with elevated blood pressure between the ages of 18-45 years to participate in a study to examine how the time of day that you eat affects your blood pressure, blood vessel function and kidney function. This study involves a screening visit to determine eligibility; two single-day interventions where you will eat a meal that we provide in the morning or late at night; and two visits to our laboratory. The study involves collection of blood and urine samples, in addition to blood pressure, blood vessel and body composition assessments. Participants Are Invited For Study Examining Sex Differences in Response to Aerobic Exercise Training
This study is seeking young females and males (18 to 35 years) to take part in nine weeks of aerobic exercise training. The purpose of this research study is to examine sex differences in cardiovascular adaptations in response to varying aerobic exercise training regimens. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal investigator is Ryan Garten Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.

Participants Are Invited For Study Examining Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Exercise
This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have PTSD or symptoms of PTSD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of PTSD symptoms on blood vessel function during acute exercise and following exercise training. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal investigator is Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
