Recreation and Well-Being Children’s Swim Lessons Session 1
Children’s Swim Lessons at the Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center are now open to VCU students and RecWell members. Four different types of lessons are offered: Preschool 1, 2 and 3 and Parent/Child. Registration is open for the Training Workshop: 3D Printing and Laser Cutting and Makers’ Courses (Modules I, II and III), for VCU students, faculty and staff who seek to use College of Engineering Makerspaces. Morning Communion at the Pace Center
The Pace Center, 700 W. Franklin St., hosts morning communion every Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. A small group meets in the sanctuary for scripture, singing and communion. A light breakfast is served afterward - to go for those who need to get to a 9 a.m. class. The Pace Center is an LGBTQ+ affirming community.

Updates to EV Charging Fees
Changes are in effect for EV charging fees on campus. The EV charging fee structure will consist of the following: From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, $1 per hour + $0.10 per kWh. From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, $0.50 per hour + $0.10 per kWh. From 6 p.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. on Monday, $0.50 per hour + $0.10 per kWh. An idle fee will no longer be charged.

Connecting Learning With Creativity: Music, Arts and Education
VCU's School of Education is hosting a workshop series sponsored by the VCU Global Education Office International Partnership Impact Award through Friday, Sept. 1, daily from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Participants will explore various artistic techniques, including theater, improvisation, music and clowning. These techniques are specifically tailored for educators and parents, regardless of artistic background. Individuals With Blood Pressures Between 120/80 - 130/90 mmHg Are Invited to Participate in a Research Study
We are inviting male and female participants with elevated blood pressure between the ages of 18-45 years to participate in a study to examine how the time of day that you eat affects your blood pressure, blood vessel function and kidney function. This study involves a screening visit to determine eligibility; two single-day interventions where you will eat a meal that we provide in the morning or late at night; and two visits to our laboratory. The study involves collection of blood and urine samples, in addition to blood pressure, blood vessel, and body composition assessments. The study is conducted at VCU Kinesiology and Health Sciences Building on the Monroe Park Campus.
