Recreation and Well-Being Mindful Ambassadors Program Training
Thursday, Sep. 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon
RecWell’s Mindful Ambassador Program seeks to identify students, faculty and staff who are interested in creating a mindful revolution and healthier campus community. In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn about various types of meditation, belly breathing, mindful posture and special considerations for leading meditation with others. Those who complete the workshop will receive additional resources to lead meditation in the community along with a campus leadership sticker. Recreation and Well-Being Adult Beginner Swim Lessons Session 1
VCU Students and RecWell Members are invited to build their fundamental swimming technique in the Fall 2023 Adult Swim Program. Lessons are designed for older teens and adults, and participants should be comfortable learning basic skills in both shallow and deep water. Program dates are Sept. 11 to Oct. 4. Research Institute for Social Equity Invites You to Participate
Are you a college/university student who has experienced an eviction or termination of room and board while enrolled in classes? In this study, you will be asked to participate in a survey about housing instability and supports, academic and mental health outcomes and resiliency. The survey will take approximately one hour.
