"Paul Chan: Breathers" is the first major U.S.-based museum exhibition in 15 years of works by artist, writer and publisher Paul Chan, born in Hong Kong in 1973. Chan, who was recently awarded the 2022 MacArthur Fellowship, came to prominence in the early 2000s with moving image works that touched on aspects of war, religion, pleasure and politics.
