RISE/SMART/NDSEG Information Session

This session is intended for undergraduates and current graduate students in STEM fields. Learn about RISE, a three-month research internship in Germany (working language is English) and SMART, a Department of Defense scholarship that provides funding for tuition as well as summer research internships. The Department of Defense National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship is awarded annually to U.S. citizens pursuing doctoral degrees in STEM fields. National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
VCU Medical Center School of Pharmacy along with VCU Police will hold a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kroger, 901 N. 'Paul Chan: Breathers'
"Paul Chan: Breathers" is the first major U.S.-based museum exhibition in 15 years of works by artist, writer and publisher Paul Chan, born in Hong Kong in 1973. Chan, who was recently awarded the 2022 MacArthur Fellowship, came to prominence in the early 2000s with moving image works that touched on aspects of war, religion, pleasure and politics. The exhibit will be at VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St., through Jan. 7.
