Documentary Casting Call
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Ten Four Productions is hosting a casting call via Zoom for a documentary in the making. The company is made up of media production students from the Robertson School. Students are sought to be the subjects of the documentary who have a unique experience to share. Club participants, first-year and transfer students are preferred. The focus of the film is about student's relationship with technology and the world around them.

'The Borders of AIDS' and the Uses of Disease

In this Humanities Research Center Speaker Series event, Karma Chávez will discuss her book "The Borders of AIDS," which explores the ways that HIV/AIDS became a justification to erect national and cultural borders during the early years of the pandemic. She will also connect lessons learned from the AIDS crisis to contemporary manifestations in the times of COVID-19. The event will be in the theater of the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. A reception and networking event will follow. VCU Theatre Department To Present Supernatural Thriller 'Let the Right One In' This Weekend Only

Oskar is a bullied, lonely teenage boy living in 1980s rural Virginia when a series of sinister killings rock his small community. Eli is the young girl who has just moved in next door. Sensing a kindred spirit in one another, the two become devoted friends. What Oskar doesn’t know is that Eli has been a teenager for a very long time. Expect a sweet and tender story of friendship with moments of gruesome bloodshed. Performances this weekend only at the W.E. Louisa Penfold, Ph.D.

The Department of Art Education at VCUarts will host visiting speaker Louisa Penfold, Ph.D., a lecturer and co-chair of Arts and Learning at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research and practice focus on contemporary art, early childhood education and play across schools, museums and public spaces. Penfold will lead a free Cardboard Workshop that is open to the VCU community and educators in Central Virginia. The event will be at the lobby of the Murry N. DePillars Building, 1000 W. Broad St.

VCU's Office of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity is seeking volunteer Honor Council members to serve on hearings. It is open to full-time faculty, staff and students. In-person training will be offered at 809 W. Individuals With Blood Pressures Between 120/80 - 130/90 mmHg Are Invited to Participate in a Research Study
We are inviting male and female participants with elevated blood pressure between the ages of 18-45 years to participate in a study to examine how the time of day that you eat affects your blood pressure, blood vessel function and kidney function. This study involves a screening visit to determine eligibility; two single day interventions where you will eat a meal that we provide in the morning or late at night; and two visits to our laboratory. The study involves collection of blood, saliva and urine samples, in addition to blood pressure, blood vessel and body composition assessments. The study is conducted at VCU Kinesiology and Health Sciences Building on the Monroe Park Campus. Participants will be compensated for their time completing the study.
