Blender Basics: Getting Started With 3D Modeling

Simon Jacobsen: The Interiors of the American Modern Home

The Department of Interior Design at VCUarts will present architect Simon Jacobsen as he discusses the works of Jacobsen Architecture, founded by his father Hugh Newell Jacobsen, from the perspective of interior space and concept. The work of Jacobsen Architecture spans Modernism in America and is featured in a new monograph, American Modern Home, rated as one of Elle Decor's 50 Best Coffee Table Books, offering "stunning examples of their low-key and sophisticated American homes." Rose Salane Visiting Artist Lecture

Salane was born in 1992 in New York City where she currently lives and works. Brandon Ndife Visiting Artist Lecture

VCU's Department of Sculpture and Extended Media will present a visiting artist lecture by Brandon Ndife at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. Ndife works to unsettle the life cycles of consumer objects, using found furniture culled from the urban landscape as the basis for his sculptures. Overrun with vegetation and impending signs of both ripening and rot, the works appear like relics unearthed from a distant past.

10th Annual Conflict Resolution Day
