Central VA SOCRA Chapter Meeting

Exploring the Self: Cultivating a Well-Being Routine

Participants will explore the six types of self care and well-being. This interactive session is designed to create a well-being routine to support the whole self to manage stress, focus mindset and balance the personal and professional responsibilities. A National Ovation: L. Douglas Wilder Documentary Film Premiere

Celebrate former Va. Gov. L. Douglas Wilder's seven decades of public service and dedication to civil rights, visionary education and people-first governance. A documentary film will have its premiere on Wilder's 93rd birthday, offering personal insights into his life, revealing memories, passions and the experiences that forged the man. VCU's The Department of Sculpture and Extended Media will present a lecture by visiting artist Marilyn Boror Bor at VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. Marilyn Boror Bor is a Maya-Kaqchiquel indigenous artist whose body of work covers multiple media, including painting, photography, engraving, installation and performance. Her artistic projects focus on the preservation and recovery of indigenous languages through analytic and critical works.

Examining Cardiac Effects of Hormonal Therapy in Breast Cancer Patients and Survivors (CT-STARS Study)
Do you or someone you know have/had breast cancer and received hormonal therapy (Tamoxifen, Anastrozole, Letrozole, Exemestane)? The CT-STARS study is examining the effects of this therapy with a single CT scan visit.
