Bioinformatics Analysis of GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler

Instruments of Survival: Civil War Amputation Tools

VCU Libraries Special Collections and Archives offers a companion exhibit of artifacts from its archives. On display will be tools used in battlefield surgery, surgeons’ kits and first aid materials used in the Civil War era. Women in Science: Girl Scout Science Day Volunteers

Severe Weather Awareness Week Through Friday, March 8
Severe weather can be sudden and can impact anyone. VCU’s Emergency Management team encourages everyone to follow local weather reports to prepare for forecasted local weather impacts. Severe weather may include tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, hail, lightning, wind and flash flooding. Because of the sudden impact of some weather events, having an emergency kit available in your residence and/or vehicle is recommended. Recreation and Well-Being First Aid/CPR/AED Certifications
The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course is open for VCU students and RecWell members looking to learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies. Recreation and Well-Being Children’s Swim Lessons Session 2
Children’s swim lessons at the Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center are now open to VCU students and RecWell members. Cabell Furnishings Briefly Out of Service
Over spring break, some 70 pieces of furniture at Cabell Library will be out of service to be reupholstered. Most of this furniture is from the second floor or the lower level and was installed in 2016, when the expanded library opened, and is now in need of care and attention. All seating should be back in place by March 22, and much of it sooner. Please excuse any inconvenience.
