Her book (Oxford University Press, 2022) was awarded the American Sociological Association's Body and Embodiment Section Best Book Award. The speech will be followed by the induction ceremony of AKD, the International Sociology Honor Society. Recreation and Well-Being Water Safety Instructor Training

This course will prepare participants to plan and teach courses within the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program. Courses include preschool aquatics, learn-to-swim, preschool aquatics and safety training for swim coaches. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus.
