Recreation and Well-Being Women+ on Weights

RecWell’s Women+ on Weights for Weights Spring Session 2 is open to women and individuals who are nonbinary and/or gender nonconforming who are looking to learn foundational methods of resistance training and workout design. Learn how to use strength machines, resistance bands, cable stacks and free weights. Build knowledge of proper technique and progressions, as well as confidence in the weight room. Participants Needed: Force Control and Perception Testing in Young Children Study

Researchers in the Department of Occupational Therapy at VCU are conducting a study to learn about how children sense and feel their environment. We are enrolling children between the ages of 12 to 47 months. Enrolled children will participate in a fun, play-based assessment to assess body awareness, motor skills, and overall development. Participants Are Invited For Study Examining Sex Differences in Response to Aerobic Exercise Training

This study is seeking young females and males (18 to 35 years) to take part in nine weeks of aerobic exercise training. The purpose of this research study is to examine sex differences in cardiovascular adaptations in response to varying aerobic exercise training regimens. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. The principal investigator is Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
