New Policy on Grades for Non-Engaged Students

To ensure compliance with federal law, VCU is implementing a new interim policy to document the engagement of our undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Beginning spring 2024, students who are not demonstrating academic engagement within class activities must be assigned a newly created UF grade notation at the ‘midpoint’ class calendar date by faculty as part of the midterm grading process in eServices. Exploring Parenting and Race: VCU's AYA Research Team Needs You

Participants Invited for Study Examining Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Participants Invited For Study Examining Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Exercise

This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have GAD or symptoms of GAD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of GAD symptoms on blood vessel function during acute exercise and in response to exercise training. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. The principal investigator is Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
