A National Ovation: L. Douglas Wilder Legacy Gala
Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 from 7 p.m. to midnight
The historic achievements of former Va. Gov. L. Douglas Wilder will be recognized at a black tie gala to celebrate his seven decades of public service and dedication to civil rights, visionary education and people-first governance. The event will honor his legacy and inaugurate a scholarship fund benefiting students aspiring to create an impact in public service. Recreation and Well-Being Children’s Swim Lessons Session 1
Children’s swim lessons at the Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center are now open to VCU students and RecWell members. Four different types of lessons will be offered: Parent/Child, and Preschool 1,2, and 3. Full information is available on the RecWell website. Session dates run Feb. 3-24. Call for Proposals: March 2024 Health Sciences Education Symposium
VCU’s School of Medicine requests proposals about educational research or innovations in health professions education at the university. The theme for the 2024 symposium is "Exploring Innovations in Health Sciences Education: Bridging Research and Practice." The symposium will be March 21, 2024 and is sponsored by the VCU College of Health Professions and Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy.

SOCRA CCRP Exam Study Group
Wright Regional Center for Clinical and Translational Research will offer an eight-week Certified Clinical Research Professionals Exam Study Group in February 2024. Study Group enrollment requires proof of exam eligibility and scheduled date to sit for the exam. Interested participants are encouraged to submit a Society of Clinical Research Associates Certification application no later than Dec. 31 to allow adequate time for processing and approval by SOCRA.

Are You Stressed? Participate in a Stress Reduction Study
The VCU Wellbeing Lab invites you to participate in a research study on two stress reduction programs for undergraduate students in Spring 2024. VCU investigators seek to understand how two online stress reduction programs affect students’ mood and stress-related behavior. Compensation is available.
