Students are encouraged to go to eServices to begin checking whether their professors submitted a midterm grade for one or more classes. Log on to Student eServices at the following URL. If you have received a midterm grade indicating unsatisfactory academic progress, see your instructor or academic advisor. The last day to withdraw from classes or opt into Pass/Fail in the full semester is Friday, Oct. 25.

RecWell Aquatics Adult Beginner Swim Lessons Session 2

RecWell offers adult beginner swim lessons, intended for older teens and adults who are comfortable in the water but wish to learn basic skills such as floating, treading water and coordination for swimming strokes. Lessons will primarily be taught in shallow water, but participants will practice supporting themselves in deeper water throughout the class. Session 2 runs Oct. 1-24. RecWell’s Ram Power Challenge

RecWell invites students and RecWell members to test their strength in the Fall 2024 Ram Power Challenge. Certified personal trainers will provide guidance on mastering the fundamentals of the squat, bench press and deadlift. Participants will have two opportunities to showcase their strength on each lift. The Ram Power Challenge will take place Friday, Oct. 11 from 4-7 p.m. at the Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St.. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
