Dialogue to Action: Community-Building Circles to Foster a Culture of Respect and a Shared Sense of Belonging

Volunteers Needed for Full-Scale Exercise
VCU Emergency Management will host a full-scale, multijurisdictional training exercise on the Monroe Park Campus on Thursday, July 25. Volunteers are sought to act as casualties for the duration of the training. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, must sign a liability waiver and photo release and be willing to have simulated injuries applied to them. To volunteer, email the following address.

RecWell Personal Training Packages
RecWell’s personal training packages are available to VCU students and RecWell members. Participants are guided through an exercise program customized to meet their specific needs by a certified personal trainer, a dedicated fitness professional who is committed to supporting client progress. RecWell offers one-on-one and buddy training packages of three, six, 12, or 18-hour-long sessions. Register at the following URL.

RecWell Small Group Training Summer Sweat Session Two
Registration is open for RecWell’s Small Group Training program Summer Sweat Session Two. Participants work with a certified personal trainer to learn the foundational methods of cardio and resistance training and program design, using a variety of equipment throughout the fitness center to build skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions. Call for Nominations: MCV Physicians Distinguished Clinician of the Year Award
The MCV Physicians Distinguished Clinician of the Year Award is the most prestigious award presented by MCVP. The award recognizes clinical excellence among faculty at the VCU Health System. Criteria considered include compassion, clinical effectiveness, efficiency, comprehensiveness, professionalism, availability and responsiveness to patients. Only full-time faculty are eligible. Nominations are due by Monday, July 22.

Registration Open for Advanced Certificate Of Youth Development Management
This certificate provides training in workforce and youth development. It is specifically designed for professionals across various youth program sectors and services, including health services, out-of-school time programs and early childhood education. Classes will be at the Mary and Frances Youth Center, 120 S. Linden St. Participants will learn to excel in roles such as caregivers, mentors, teachers, health service providers and youth program staff.
