Deep Stretch

This is a slower 30-minute practice focused on active stretching of muscles and opening of connective tissue. Wright Center K12 Career Development Award Informational Webinar

Liver Life Walk - Join the UNStoppable VCU Team
Join the UNStoppable VCU Liver Team at the Liver Life Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12 in Richmond's William Byrd Park. 600 S. RecWell Lifeguard Recertification Course
RecWell will hold a Lifeguarding Recertification Course for currently certified lifeguards seeking recertification. In order to participate, you must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate or be within 30 days of expiration. Proof of certification must be submitted to the instructor prior to participation. Program dates are 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25. RecWell Facility Closures Aug. 15 and Aug. 16
All RecWell facilities will be closed for staff to complete training before the fall semester and to allow deep cleaning and maintenance to be completed. RecWell Aquatics Adult Beginner Swim Lessons
RecWell offers adult beginner swim lessons, intended for older teens and adults who are comfortable in the water but wish to learn basic skills such as floating, treading water and coordination for swimming strokes. Lessons will primarily be taught in shallow water, but participants will practice supporting themselves in deeper water throughout the class. Session 1 runs Tuesday, Sept. 3-Thursday, Sept. 26 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-6:55 p.m. Register at the following URL by noon on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

RecWell Aquatics Certification: Lifeguard Training
Learn how to prevent, recognize, respond to and care for aquatic and breathing/cardiac emergencies that may occur in or around the water. This course requires seven to eight hours of online pre-course work. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, First Aid and Administering Emergency Oxygen and are eligible to apply for employment with RecWell. Classes will be Friday, Sept. 20-Sunday, Sept. 22. Register at the following URL by noon on Friday, Sept. 13.
