Stepping In 4 Respect: Creating a Culture of Respect and Inclusion In-Person
Thursday, Jul. 11, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Through video scenarios, interactive debriefing discussions and improvisation experiences, participants will discuss and practice responses to the scenarios in a safe and supportive environment. Learn how to address discrimination and other mistreatment in our clinical and learning environments. While the training has more of a clinical focus, the skills presented are very adaptable to non-clinical settings. The session will be in Room 3-101, James W. and Frances G. Motor Learning Study (Located at the VCU Collaborative Advanced Research Imaging Center on the Monroe Park Campus)
We are currently recruiting participants for a motor learning study. This research is being done to investigate how you learn new movements. You will be asked to complete an MRI scan while wearing an electrode cap and playing a virtual joystick game. You must be right-handed and between the ages of 18 and 40 to participate. Compensation of $20 is available for your participation, and the study takes about one hour.

Registration Open for Advanced Certificate Of Youth Development Management
This certificate provides training in workforce and youth development. It is specifically designed for professionals across various youth program sectors and services, including health services, out-of-school time programs and early childhood education. Classes will be at the Mary and Frances Youth Center, 120 S. Linden St. Participants will learn to excel in roles such as caregivers, mentors, teachers, health service providers and youth program staff. Participants will earn a non-credit credential earned over three semesters. Register at the following URL.
