Volunteers Sought for Residential Life and Housing Move-in Weekend

Residential Life and Housing will hold its annual move-in weekend on Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17. Over 3,000 first-year students will be moving in and help is needed to unload vehicles, manage and push move-in carts and welcome the Class of 2028. To volunteer visit the following URL. Call for Nominations: MCV Physicians Distinguished Clinician of the Year Award

The MCV Physicians Distinguished Clinician of the Year Award is the most prestigious award presented by MCVP. The award recognizes clinical excellence among faculty at the VCU Health System. Criteria considered include compassion, clinical effectiveness, efficiency, comprehensiveness, professionalism, availability and responsiveness to patients. Only full-time faculty are eligible. Nominations are due by Monday, July 22.

Motor Learning Study (Located at the VCU Collaborative Advanced Research Imaging Center on the Monroe Park Campus)

We are currently recruiting participants for a motor learning study. This research is being done to investigate how you learn new movements. You will be asked to complete an MRI scan while wearing an electrode cap and playing a virtual joystick game. You must be right-handed and between the ages of 18 and 40 to participate. Compensation of $20 is available for your participation, and the study takes about one hour.
