Sixth Annual ACCESS Global Health Symposium

The ACCESS Program at the VCU School of Medicine will host the sixth annual ACCESS (Acute Care and Systems Strengthening in Low Resource Settings) Global Health Symposium. The event, to be held at the James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Medical Education Center, 1201 E. Marshall St., will include lectures, interactive workshops, research presentations and networking opportunities. Liver Life Walk - Join the UNStoppable VCU Team
Join the UNStoppable VCU Liver Team at the Liver Life Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12 in Richmond's William Byrd Park. 600 S. Arthur Ashe Blvd. This American Liver Foundation event provides participants an opportunity to come together and raise awareness and funds in support of the liver community. Registration is free through Wednesday, Aug. 28. On Aug. 29, a $20 fee will be implemented for walkers 18+ and up. Register at the following URL.

Inclusive Excellence Is Accepting Applications for Its Student Fellows Program
VCU Division of Inclusive Excellence is now accepting applications for the Inclusive Excellence Student Fellows program. This program aims to empower students to actively contribute to campus-wide inclusion initiatives, enhance their leadership skills and promote inclusive excellence throughout the university and the broader Richmond community. RecWell Lifeguard Recertification Course
RecWell will hold a Lifeguarding Recertification Course for currently certified lifeguards seeking recertification. In order to participate, you must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate or be within 30 days of expiration. Proof of certification must be submitted to the instructor prior to participation. Program dates are 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25. VCU Libraries' Student-Designed T-Shirts and Hoodies Now on Sale
T-shirts featuring the student illustration from the 2024 Friends of the Library design contest are available to order online. Designed by student Tess Versprille, the shirts will be sold for a limited time during August, so order early. Proceeds will benefit VCU Libraries.
