Summer 2024 Final Grades Due at Noon Today, Aug. 13

Grade sheets are now available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon today, Aug. 13 at which time grade entry will no longer be available. It is imperative to meet this deadline to complete all end-of-the-semester processes. Faculty may choose to use the feature to upload grades from an Excel file into eServices. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned.

Career Opportunities for Students in Criminal Justice and Public Service Fields

Students interested in law enforcement are invited to speak with VCU Police. Take courses in all levels of degree programs for free, work toward student loan forgiveness and receive a competitive salary and benefits as an officer. VCU students receive a $5,000 bonus upon completing the academy and field training. The 50th Academy starts in fall 2024. Applicants who are made a conditional offer may qualify for the department’s Law Enforcement Apprenticeship Program.

RecWell Small Group Training: Weightlifting 101

RecWell’s Weightlifting 101 is a beginner-friendly class for individuals looking to build strength and confidence in the gym. Experienced and welcoming instructors will teach the fundamentals of weightlifting, including proper form, technique and safety measures to ensure a fun and injury-free workout. Dates are Tuesday, Aug. 27-Oct. 3, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30-8:30 a.m. Registration closes Friday, Aug. 23.

Do You Have Liver Disease?

Jasmohan Bajaj, M.D., is conducting a research study for males and females that is breaking barriers to access to dental care and identifying if dental disease worsens in patients with liver disease. The study entails a free dental exam, cleaning and questionnaires - nothing more. You do not have to have health insurance to participate. Those who are qualified and enrolled will be compensated for their time.

Participants Are Invited for a Study Examining the Effects of E-Cigarettes on Cardiovascular Health

Do you vape? We are seeking participants between 18 to 29 years old who regularly vape to participate in a study investigating the effects of e-cigarettes on cardiovascular health. We are also seeking non-users. Compensation is included.
