RecWell Small Group Training: Women+ on Weights Session 2

RecWell’s Women+ on Weights Fall Session 2 is open to women and individuals who are non-binary and/or gender non-conforming who are looking to learn foundational methods of resistance training and workout design. A certified personal trainer will help with the use of strength machines, resistance bands, cable stacks and free weights to build skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions as well as confidence in the weight room. VCUarts program for eighth-10th grade students, Investigation Now, is back for the fall. Are you a freshman at VCU age 18+? If so, you are eligible to take part in Spit for Science: The VCU Student Survey. This research project looks at how environmental and genetic factors contribute to emotional health along with alcohol and substance use habits. Participants Are Invited for a Study Examining the Effects of E-Cigarettes on Cardiovascular Health

Do you vape? We are seeking participants between 18 to 29 years old who regularly vape to participate in a study investigating the effects of e-cigarettes on cardiovascular health. We are also seeking non-users. Compensation is included.

Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
