Volunteers Needed for VCU Emergency Management Exercise
Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
VCU Emergency Management will host a full-scale, multijurisdictional training exercise on the Monroe Park Campus. Volunteers are sought to act as casualties for the duration of the training. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, must sign a liability waiver and photo release and be willing to have simulated injuries applied to them. To volunteer, email the following address.

RecWell American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Course
The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course is open for VCU students, RecWell members, non-member faculty/staff and the Richmond community. Learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies. Participants will earn a certificate that satisfies OSHA requirements for workplace First Aid/CPR/AED training in non-health care settings. Google Sites Decommission
The ability to create and edit Google Sites is no longer available. The Google Sites service will be fully decommissioned as of December 2024. University-related sites and course-related sites should be moved or created in the appropriate university systems. Personal sites should be created on non-university hosted platforms.

Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC)
The 27th year of the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign is in full swing. Since 1997, the CVC has been the officially sanctioned, nonprofit fundraising program for over 120,000 Commonwealth employees to safely and easily donate to their favorite causes. All monetary donations made through the CVC are 100 percent tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations may be made by credit card or payroll deduction until Dec. 31, 2024.

New SLWK Electives for Spring 2025: Social Justice, Technology and Art
VCU School of Social Work will offer two new, three-credit electives in the spring spring. The courses are Harnessing Technology for Social Good (SLWK 391-901 online, open to all undergraduates) (or SLWK 791-C52 online, open to all graduate students) and Art for Social Justice and Social Change (MPC only as SLWK 391-002 or ARTH 391-002) open to undergraduates, offered in collaboration with VCUarts Department of Art History. Spring 2025 Parking Sales
Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, students can log in to apps.parking.vcu.edu/mcvwebsales to enter the MCV Campus permit lottery. The Monroe Park Campus parking sale will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 9 a.m. at https://vcu.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal. All VCU parking permits are now virtual and linked to your license plate, so hang tags will not be mailed.

Participants Are Invited for a Study Examining the Effects of E-Cigarettes on Cardiovascular Health
Do you vape? We are seeking participants between 18 to 29 years old who regularly vape to participate in a study investigating the effects of e-cigarettes on cardiovascular health. We are also seeking non-users. Compensation is included.
