Eastbound Lane Closure on Broad Street, Today, Oct. 17

The City of Richmond will conduct infrastructure work causing the eastbound lanes on West Broad Street between North Belvidere and North Monroe Streets to be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on today, Oct. 17. The Pulse lane will remain open for Pulse use only. Signage will be posted to detour traffic on West Marshall Street.

RecWell OAP Belay Clinics

RecWell’s Outdoor Adventure Program offers belay clinics at the Cary Street Gym Climbing Wall, 101 S. Linden St., every Wednesday, 5-6 p.m., through Wednesday, Dec. 4. Learning to belay allows participants to climb with a partner and is a fundamental skill for all rock climbers. OAP staff will teach current best practices for belaying and answer any and all questions about climbing in the Cary Street Gym. Registration opens the day before the clinic. Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC)

The 27th year of the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign has begun. Since 1997, the CVC has been the officially sanctioned, nonprofit fundraising program for over 120,000 Commonwealth employees to safely and easily donate to their favorite causes. All monetary donations made through the CVC are 100 percent tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donate by credit card or payroll deduction until Dec. 31, 2024.
