Virginia Minimum Wage Increase

The Virginia minimum wage will increase to $12.41 per hour on Jan. 1, 2025. On that date, all university employees currently making less than this amount will have their hourly rate raised to $12.41. Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC)

The 27th year of the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign is in full swing. Since 1997, the CVC has been the officially sanctioned, nonprofit fundraising program for over 120,000 Commonwealth employees to safely and easily donate to their favorite causes. All monetary donations made through the CVC are 100 percent tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations may be made by credit card or payroll deduction until Dec. 31, 2024.

RecWell Aquatics Certification: Lifeguard Training

This class will prepare participants to prevent, recognize, respond to and care for aquatic and breathing/cardiac emergencies that may occur in or around the water. Those who take the course will also learn critical thinking and communication skills that are crucial to an effective emergency response.
