The Department of Physics will host Marija Drndic, Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania, for her talk on the power of 2D nanopores. This talk will explore how tiny sensors made from ultra-thin materials are revolutionizing science. These 2D nanopore sensors can detect single molecules by measuring changes in electrical signals as they pass through tiny holes — so small they can be just a few atoms wide.
