Retirement Savings Limits Increase for 2025
Annual deferral limits for the VCU 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan (TDA) and the VRS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan will increase to $23,500 in 2025. Participants eligible for the age 50+ catch-up may contribute up to an additional $7,500 to either or both plans in 2025, permitting you to defer up to $31,000 for 2025 to each plan. Participants in the Commonwealth of Virginia 457 Deferred Compensation Plan who attain age 60 but are not older than age 63 by the end of the calendar year can take advantage of an additional catch-up contribution of $11,250, permitting you to defer up to $34,750 to the plan. No employee action is required due to these changes.
