Volunteers Needed for VCU Emergency Management Exercise
Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
VCU Emergency Management will host a full-scale, multijurisdictional training exercise on the Monroe Park Campus. Volunteers are sought to act as casualties for the duration of the training. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, must sign a liability waiver and photo release and be willing to have simulated injuries applied to them. To volunteer, email the following address.

Raise a Guiding Eyes for the Blind Puppy at VCU!
Raise a puppy and change a life. Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, has puppies seeking volunteer puppy raisers or short-term sitters. Missing your dog at home? Want the puppy love but not ready for the long-term commitment? Not ready to pay for tuition and vet bills? Raise a Guiding Eyes puppy at VCU for up to 18 months, providing the pup with the socialization, house manners and basic obedience needed for guide dog training. Can’t commit? Puppy sitters are also needed.
