RecWell Aquatics Certification: Lifeguard Recertification Course
RecWell will hold a lifeguarding recertification course for currently certified lifeguards seeking recertification. In order to participate, you must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certificate or be within 30 days of expiration and proof of certification must be submitted to the instructor prior to participation. RecWell American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Course
The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course is open for VCU students and RecWell members looking to learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies. Participants will earn a certificate that satisfies OSHA requirements for workplace First Aid/CPR/AED training in non-healthcare settings. RecWell Small Group Training: Weightlifting 101
RecWell’s Weightlifting 101 is a beginner-friendly class for individuals looking to build strength and confidence in the gym. Experienced and welcoming instructors will teach the fundamentals of weightlifting, including proper form, technique and safety measures to ensure a fun and injury-free workout. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health
Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus.
