West Broad Street Deck Subscribers To Relocate During Graduations

Upcoming high school graduations will create interruptions to parking today, May 19 through Friday, May 23 and May 28-30 (Wednesday through Friday). Through May 23, all West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, located at 1101 W. Cary St.; Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 S. Jefferson St.; Henry Street Deck, located at 200 N. Henry St.; or West Main Street Deck, located at 801 W. Main St. From May 28-30, West Broad Street Deck subscribers may relocate to the above listed locations if preferred, but are not required.

A dedicated shuttle service will be provided by Parking and Transportation today through Friday, May 23, and May 28-30 to transport subscribers to and from on-campus locations. RamSafe shuttles will run continuously to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Harrison and Franklin streets, Franklin and Laurel streets, and Shafer and Franklin streets during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. If a VCU parking subscriber needs transportation between the hours of 6:31 p.m. and 6:29 a.m., they can place a ride request through the RamSafe using the Ride Pingo app.

Reciprocal parking will not be permitted on the West Broad Street Deck today through May 23 and May 28-30. MCV Campus subscribers may park on the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, Henry Street Deck or West Main Street Deck.

RecWell OAP Summer Norwegian Adventure Sampler Multiday Trip

RecWell’s Outdoor Adventure Program will host a week of travel through Norway. Experience glacier peaks and valleys, canyoneer down waterfalls and sea kayak through a fjord. Explore villages and wilderness, all while experiencing new activities in a supportive and friendly environment. The price includes food, equipment, lodging and guides, but does not include airfare. Pass/Fail and Withdrawal Deadlines Extended One Week Starting Fall 2025

To support students in making informed academic decisions, the pass/fail and withdrawal date will be extended by one week beginning in Fall 2025. This change provides students with an additional week to evaluate their progress in the course and make a plan with their academic adviser or academic coach to successfully complete the course or withdraw if necessary. VCU students are asked to share their experiences with and awareness of on-campus offices and organizations that offer services or resources to students. VCU staff member Jess Hoy, M.S.W., is conducting a research survey that can be completed online and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Students are not required to have ever used a VCU resource to participate. Students who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle to win one of five $25 gift cards to the VCU bookstore.

Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Acute and Chronic Stress on Cardiovascular Health

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as Black or African American are invited to participate in a research study examining the effect of acute and chronic stress on cardiovascular and inflammation responses to an acute mental challenge. Raffle drawings for financial compensation will be conducted. This study will take place at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus.
