VCU Psychology invites participation in two studies. Compensation is available. One: A study on including video materials in school teaching to make classes more engaging. Two: A study on how people react to fictional characters. Participants will fill out a 10-minute online questionnaire and then complete both studies in one lab session that will take about one hour. VCU Community Guitar Ensemble Concert

The 24-member VCU Community Guitar Ensemble will be featured in concert in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall of the W.E. Volunteer for Residential Life and Housing Move-in Weekend
Residential Life and Housing will hold its annual move-in weekend on Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16. Faculty, staff and students are needed to help unload vehicles, manage and push move-in carts and welcome the Class of 2029. Open Court Time for Pickleball
Pickleball will be available at the Mary and Frances Youth Center, 120 S. Linden St., every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. through Aug. 17. Pickleball equipment is avaiablle. In case of thunder, play will be discontinued for at lest 30 minutes.

Postmenopausal Females Are Invited For Study of the Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health
This study is seeking postmenopausal females to participate in a research study examining the effect of exercise training on blood vessel function. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principle Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.

This research study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. Seeking Southern Black Queer Women and Femmes (18–29) for a Creative Storytelling Project — Paid Opportunity
Black, queer-identifying women/femmes (ages 18–29) are sought who have lived in the South for eight to 10 years and are open to joining eight in-person group sessions in Richmond to share their stories through photography. Groups will ideally begin in September. Cameras and training will be provided. Participants will be compensated. A One-Time Interview To Understand the Experiences or Lack of Experience With Resistance Exercise and Mobile Apps in Young Black Women
Black women ages 18-35 are invited to share their experiences or lack of experience with resistance exercise (e.g., lifting weights, resistance bands, body weight exercises) along with their desired features of a mobile app aimed to help guide and track their exercise regimens.
