Participants Invited for Study Examining Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health

This research study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences. Participants Needed: Social Media Information Related to Perinatal Depression.

This study seeks adult participants who have given birth in the last 24 months and have experienced perinatal depression. A diverse set of participants are sought who are at least 18 years old and who access social media for information related to mental health. The purpose of this study is to understand birthing people’s use of social media for information related to perinatal depression. Participants may benefit from increased self-understanding. In-person focus groups will require approximately two hours and will be held at a location to be determined later. This study explores the connection between social media use and perinatal depression. The principle investigators are Mariam Alkazemi, Ph.D.; Susan Bodner-Deren, Ph.D.; and Bushra Shah, M.D. Its IRB protocol number is HM20029210.
