VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center invites faculty, students and trainees to the annual Walter Lawrence Jr., M.D., Research Retreat featuring the latest cancer research from Massey. This year's keynote presentation will feature UCLA's Antoni Ribas, M.D., Ph.D., a physician-scientist conducting exploration of melanoma resistance to cancer immunotherapies. VCU Launches RamsXpress, a New Point-to-Point Shuttle Service
Beginning today, Friday, Aug. 1, the new shuttle will service James Branch Cabell Library at the corner of Cathedral Place and Floyd Avenue, and Larrick Student Center at the corner of North Ninth and Turpin streets. RamsExpress will run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and allow members of the VCU community to travel between campuses – within 10 to 15 minutes – by offering direct, point-to-point service. These stops are not duplicative of current GRTC service locations.

Participants Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health
This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences. Are You Expecting or Raising a Black Child Age 2 or Younger? Participants Invited for a Study on Parenting and Race (Compensation Provided)
Be part of VCU's AYA Collective Research Team's ongoing study called ROOTED Endeavor. We're discussing racial socialization with romantically involved couples who are either expecting or raising Black children ages 0-2. Explore how racial factors shape parenting through five virtual interviews every six months involving both parents and brief online questionnaires every three months. Seeking Black Queer Women and Femmes from the Deep South for a Creative Storytelling Project — Paid Opportunity
Black, queer-identifying women/femmes (ages 18–29) are sought who have lived in the South for eight to 10 years and are open to joining eight in-person group sessions in Richmond to share their stories through photography. Groups will ideally begin in September. Cameras and training will be provided. Participants will be compensated. Two spots remain for the project and are specifically looking for individuals with lived experience AL, AK, FL, GA, KY, MS, OK, TN or LA. If interested visit the following URL.
