The event, hosted by Ivy Bell, VCU Health Hub’s certified community health worker, will be at 1330 N. 25th St., Suite A. The Hub Club is a wellness group which offers participants the opportunity to share stories, listen to music, practice mindfulness and build connections. Hub Club is held every second and fourth Tuesday.

VIRBs (VCU IRB System) Research Community Open Lab
Thursday, Jul. 24, 2025 from 11 a.m. to noon
In preparation for implementation of the new IRB system (VIRBs), the Human Research Protections Program (HRPP)/IRB will hold a VIRBs open lab for the research community. The labs will include VIRBs real-time practice and Q&A sessions. Several lab sessions will be held through July and August. A complete schedule has been posted on the New IRB Review System: VIRBs (VCU IRB System) webpage. Registration is not required. Labs will occur in real time. Recordings will not take place during the sessions. A Zoom meeting link will be opened at each date and time specified on the labs schedule. Participants Needed for Brain-Imaging Study
The Research on Excessive, Persistent and Emotion-Based Actions and Traits (REPEAT) Lab at VCU is conducting a brain-imaging study to understand how decision making differs between adults with anorexia nervosa, obsessive-compulsive disorder and no history of a psychological disorder. A One-Time Interview To Understand the Experiences or Lack of Experience With Resistance Exercise and Mobile Apps in Young Black Women
Black women ages 18-35 are invited to share their experiences or lack of experience with resistance exercise (e.g., lifting weights, resistance bands, body weight exercises) along with their desired features of a mobile app aimed to help guide and track their exercise regimens. Women will be invited to complete a one-time interview plus two surveys at a local library of their choice. Compensation is available. Check your eligibility at the following URL.

Participants Are Invited for Study Examining Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health
This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
