The Hub Club by VCU Health Hub at 25th
2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The event, hosted by Ivy Bell, VCU Health Hub’s certified community health worker, will be at 1330 N. 25th St., Suite A. The Hub Club is a wellness group which offers participants the opportunity to share stories, listen to music, practice mindfulness and build connections. Hub Club is held every second and fourth Tuesday.

Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Come learn how to grow your own food with Malique Middleton, entrepreneur in residence at the Health Hub, 1330 N. 25th St., Suite A. This month's gardening workshop is getting your garden ready for fall. There will be a short talk about what plants are the best to start and how to get ready for the upcoming weather changes.

VIRBs (VCU IRB System) Research Community Open Lab
Friday, Aug. 15, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
In preparation for implementation of the new IRB system (VIRBs), the Human Research Protections Program (HRPP)/IRB will hold a VIRBs open lab for the research community. The labs will include VIRBs real-time practice and Q&A sessions. Several lab sessions will be held through August. A complete schedule has been posted on the New IRB Review System: VIRBs (VCU IRB System) webpage. Registration is not required. Labs will occur in real time. Recordings will not take place during the sessions. A Zoom meeting link will be opened at each date and time specified on the labs schedule. 2025 Central Virginia Heart Walk
Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025 at 9:40 a.m.
Heart disease and stroke impact people in personal, life-changing ways. Bold moves and dedicated researchers and volunteers have resulted in significant medical advancement over 100 years. This year, join VCU and VCU Health to connect with and share the reasons heart disease and stroke can be eliminated. This year's walk takes place on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Free Store Reopening; Volunteers Needed
The VCU Free Store, 930 W. Grace St., will reopen to VCU students, staff and faculty on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during August. Hours are Tuesdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Wednesdays, noon-6 p.m. Also, VCU Sustainability is recruiting volunteers Tuesday, Aug. 12 and Wednesday, Aug. 13 to support the reopening of the store. Participants Invited for a Study Examining Psychosocial Stress and Cardiovascular Health in Sexual and Gender Minority Adults
This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as LGBTQ. We are also inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who identify as cis-gender heterosexual for the control group.
