Improving Access to Childbearing Health Care: Histories, Solutions and Strategies

A New Way of Life: Alcoholics Anonymous

The Health Hub will hold weekly Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings on Thursdays starting Nov. 6 at 1330 N. 25th St. Meetings may include readings from AA literature, personal stories of recovery and open discussion guided by the Twelve Steps. All who have a desire to stop drinking are welcome, regardless of background or length of sobriety.

National Lung Cancer Screening Day

Numerous national organizations, including the American College of Radiology and the American Cancer Society, have partnered to promote National Lung Cancer Screening Day, an initiative created to raise awareness and improve access to lifesaving lung cancer screening through low-dose CT scans. Your Opinion Matters: Give Feedback on New VCU Libraries Home Page Design
VCU Libraries is redesigning its home page through a process focused on users' needs and priorities. Three preliminary designs are available for review. These so-called "wireframes" are low-fidelity, early-stage renderings of a web page that positions elements on the page. Now feedback on these potential designs is invited. Risk-Taking in Eating Disorders Study
The Translational Research on Eating and Affect (TREAT) Lab is recruiting adolescents and young adults assigned female at birth (aged 12 to 25 years) for a brain imaging study to understand risky decision-making in individuals who have concerns about their body shape/weight, or overeat, purge, use laxatives, diet severely, or exercise excessively. Be Part of Our Study on Family Mealtimes and Health Among Black Families (Compensation Provided)
Black parents, caregivers and their children (ages 8-12) are invited to share their experiences with race, family mealtimes and health through small group conversations in the Richmond area. This feedback will inform future community programming that promotes family discussions about race, nutritious meals and more.
