Hub Club To Present Program on Mental Health and Skin Care Featuring the Massey Cancer Center

VCU Libraries Launches 'Generative AI in Research' Discussion Series

New this academic year, the "AI in Research" discussion series explores how generative AI is studied and used across VCU. The VCU Libraries series is designed for faculty and advanced researchers. VCUArts faculty Hawa Stwodah and Jennie Cook kick off the series with "Speculative Fashion: Education Futures." This presentation will examine how generative AI and multi-modal technologies are reshaping fashion design and merchandising education. Their research explores how students engage with intelligent systems to develop AI literacy, creativity and ethical awareness. Drawing on qualitative data and interdisciplinary insights, the study highlights pedagogical opportunities and challenges of integrating human–AI collaboration in design education. Hourly Research Assistant Position
The Research in Athletes and Military Health Sciences (RAMHS) is seeking an hourly research assistant to assist with a new musculoskeletal injury research project. This individual will assist with research operations, including study organization and scheduling, data collection and timely project completion. Applicants will need to dedicate approximately 10 hours per week to this position for about 48 weeks (Anticipated start date: late fall 2025). Investigation Now: Youth Art Program is Open for Registration
VCU's Department of Art Education presents Investigation Now, an eight-week program encompassing a range of contemporary art concepts and artmaking techniques for children 13-16 years old. Fall and Spring sessions will function as a two-part series following a cohesive theme. Throughout these sessions, students are encouraged to consider how and why artists make work and to relate those ideas to their artistic processes. The registration fee for all eight weeks is $180. Food and materials will be provided. The program takes place on Fridays from 5-8 p.m.; programming will be broken up into two sections beginning in late Fall and picking back up after Winter holidays. An Exercise App for Young Black Women: Tell Me, What Would You Want?
Black women ages 18-35 who have no experience with resistance exercise (e.g., lifting weights, resistance bands, body weight exercises) are invited to share their perspectives about resistance exercise and their desired features of a mobile app aimed to help guide and track their exercise regimens.
