Presidential Holiday Open House Is Today

You are cordially invited to attend the Presidential Holiday Open House in the Commonwealth Ballroom at the University Student Commons today, Monday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The annual universitywide holiday open house is hosted by President Michael and Mrs. Monica Rao as an opportunity for the university community to come together and celebrate the holidays prior to winter closing. It is an informal gathering, with food and drink provided.

RecWell Aquatics Children’s Swim Lessons Session 1

VCU RecWell offers children’s swim lessons for ages 6 months to 6 years taught by certified water safety instructors under the American Red Cross program. 2026 App Year or Gap Year Is Live

Planning on or considering applying to professional health programs in the next admissions cycle starting in summer 2026? If yes, we recommend participating in App Year or Gap Year (AYGY), a Career Services mock admissions program for eligible students and alumni. Participants will complete a mock application and mock admissions-style interview intended to simulate the admissions process, and then receive feedback from advisers. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health

This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 20 and 24 with poor sleep quality. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
