Global Initiatives Master Class Series: International Student Success
Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
VCU's Global Education Office will present the spring Master Class Series workshop, "Social Justice and International Education: Tools for Staying Focused on Access and Equity in Internationalization." The class will be facilitated by LaNitra Berger, Ph.D., George Mason University and will meet in the University Student Commons, Richmond Salon IV, 907 Floyd Ave. The workshop will use social justice principles to guide participants through exercises to help international educators broaden their outreach and magnify their impact. RamsXpress Not Running Over Holiday Break
The RamsXpress will not run from Monday, Dec. 22, to Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. RamsXpress will resume normal operations on Monday, Jan. 5. During this time, The Pulse will be available.

Call for Proposals Now Open for 2026-2027 Global Impact Awards
VCU's Global Education Office has a call for proposals for the Global Impact Awards that will fund proposals from VCU academic units to develop partnership collaborations with institutions abroad or new global learning programs. At least 10 awards of up to $5,000 will be made. Submit a completed proposal by Monday, March 16, 2026 at the following URL.

Paycheck Change: Group Term Life Insurance Imputed Income
Starting with the first pay period in January 2026, the value of group life insurance (provided to all eligible employees) will be included in each of your 24 pays throughout the year (instead of the whole amount added once at the end of the year, as has been done to date). This adjustment helps employees avoid potential tax liability at the end of the year, as taxes will be spread more evenly across all paychecks.
