Parking Deck Subscribers To Relocate During Graduations

Upcoming high school graduations will create interruptions to parking from May 28-29 (Thursday-Friday). From May 28-29, all West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, 1101 W. Cary St.; Jefferson Street Deck, 100 S. Jefferson St.; Henry Street Deck, 200 N. Henry St.; or West Main Street Deck, 801 W. Main St. West Broad Street Deck subscribers may relocate to the above listed locations if preferred, but are not required.

A dedicated shuttle service will be provided by Parking and Transportation from May 28-29 (Thursday-Friday) to transport subscribers to and from on-campus locations. RamSafe shuttles will run continuously to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, Harrison and Franklin streets, Franklin and Laurel streets, and Shafer and Franklin streets from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. If a VCU parking subscriber needs transportation between 6:31 p.m. and 6:29 a.m., they can place a ride request through the RamSafe using the Ride Pingo app.

Reciprocal parking will not be permitted on the West Broad Street May 28-29. MCV Campus subscribers may park on the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, Henry St. Deck, or West Main St. Deck.

VCU’s Technology Services and Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence are conducting a survey to better understand sentiments and skills surrounding the use of Generative AI tools. ICA Closed Through May 29

VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center (ICA), 601 W. Broad St., will remain closed through Friday, May 29. While the ICA galleries are undergoing installation, the Abby Moore Café team is taking a short seasonal break and will reopen Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m. Come to the ICA that evening at 7 p.m. for a special video screening and the Bubbles Con 2026 closing party. Galleries will remain closed for installation until Friday, June 5.

Employee Health Highlights: Integrating a Produce Prescription Program Within a Diabetes Prevention Program at VCU School of Nursing

Integrating a Produce Prescription Program within a Diabetes Prevention Program at VCU School of Nursing is enrolling adults with prediabetes or elevated blood sugar for a 12‑month research study. If you are 18 or older, have a BMI of 25 or higher, speak English and have a U.S. phone number, you may qualify. What to expect: a brief screening to check eligibility; if eligible, you’ll be randomly assigned to one of two program tracks; and check‑ins over one year. Concussion Research Study

Recruiting adolescents between the ages of 13 and 19 years old who have 1) never had a diagnosed concussion OR 2) sustained a concussion within the last 14 days. This non-invasive study is investigating the acoustic startle reflex and acoustic startle potentiation in relationship to subsequent injury following concussion. Healthy Volunteers Needed

Join our VCU Health Clinical Research Study today. We’re seeking healthy adult volunteers to participate in a first in-human clinical trial to evaluate the safety and tolerability of single ascending doses of investigational study drug. This clinical trial study will last 28 days. PI: Alpha A. Fowler, M.D. Eligibility criteria: Participants must be 18-65 years old, in good general health with no clinically significant medical conditions. This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have GAD or symptoms of GAD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of cold water immersion on GAD symptoms with specific focus on blood vessel function.
