ACS Project SEED High School Research Poster Session

The Department of Chemistry at VCU will host the annual summer American Chemical Society Project SEED (Special Elementary Education for the Disadvantaged) poster session in T. Edward Temple Building, Room 3309, 901 W. Main St. Local high school students from Richmond Public Schools who participated in the eight-week summer program performing summer research in the laboratories of VCU chemistry professors will present the results of their summer work.

Participants Are Invited for Study Investigating Military and Racial Identity
This study is seeking individuals who identify as Black or African American and are a veteran. The purpose of this study is to examine how Black veterans understand and experience their military and racial identity. Participation involves completing a survey asking for personal and military specific demographic information, as well as questions about your racial and military identity and psychological well-being. We expect that you will be in this research study for about 15 minutes.

Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health
This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 with poor sleep. Compensation is up to $50. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
