Health Hub After Dark: Rollator Repair
5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Health Hub will host a Rollator repair clinic at 1330 N. 25th St., Suite A. The clinic will include free Rollator (four-wheeled walker) safety checks and basic repairs, including: tightening brakes, adjusting handles and replacing worn nuts/bolts. Some part replacements (wheels, seats) may be available.

The VCU Transfer Center Is Hiring: Looking for Two Federal Work-Study Student Interns
The VCU Transfer Center is seeking motivated students for two FWS Internship opportunities. A marketing, communications and engagement intern will help create content, promote events, engage students and support Transfer Center outreach efforts. A Next Step Program intern will support prospective and incoming transfer students as they navigate the transfer process and prepare to join the VCU community. These positions offer an opportunity to build professional skills, gain experience and make a meaningful impact on the transfer student experience at VCU. VCU HERO Study Team Seeks Undergraduate Federal Work-Study (FWS) Research Assistant
This position offers an opportunity for students in psychology, biology, kinesiology and health sciences, pre-med and statistics to gain hands-on research experience that complements coursework and future career goals. Why apply? Interdisciplinary collaboration: You will work with researchers across epidemiology, public health and medicine, giving you a broad perspective on how large-scale studies are run. Participants Are Invited for Study Examining the Impact of Exercise on Cardiovascular Health
This study is inviting individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 with poor sleep. Compensation is up to $50. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of aerobic and resistance exercise on cardiovascular responses and vascular inflammation. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator: Lee Franco, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.

Participants Sought for Fine Motor Writing and Drawing Study
This research is being done to investigate how you learn new movements with your nondominant hand. You will be asked to complete a tracing game on a touchscreen tablet while wearing an electrode cap. You must be right-handed, male and between the ages of 18 and 40 to participate. $20 compensation is available for your participation. The study takes about one hour. This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have GAD or symptoms of GAD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of cold water immersion on GAD symptoms with specific focus on blood vessel function. Participants Are Invited for Study Investigating Military and Racial Identity
This study is seeking individuals who identify as Black or African American and are a veteran. The purpose of this study is to examine how Black veterans understand and experience their military and racial identity. Participation involves completing a survey asking for personal and military specific demographic information, as well as questions about your racial and military identity and psychological well-being. We expect that you will be in this research study for about 15 minutes.
