Volunteer at Belmont Food Pantry
Thursday, Jun. 4, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Meet at the Pace Center, 700 W. Franklin St. on Thursdays this summer beginning June 4 to ride to Belmont Community Resource Services, 3510 Broad Rock Blvd., to work in their food pantry. The pantry is outdoors so dress accordingly. Participants must be available until 1 p.m. because it is a 20-minute drive from VCU. Volunteer to drive students or Pace will provide a Lyft ride.

Cathedral Place Bus Stop Closure (June 3-4)
From 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 4, the Cathedral Place bus stop will be closed due to church activities. During this time, the RamsXpress stop at Cathedral Place and Floyd Avenue will be moved to Floyd Avenue and Cherry Street. RamSafe buses will also be rerouted to pick up passengers from Cabell Library on Floyd Avenue. Track the buses via the Ride Pingo app, downloadable from your phone's app store.

Fun, Beginner-Friendly AI Course Coming Fall 2026 (New Gen Ed and Practical AI Minor Course)
EDUS 268 – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Education will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m.–12:15 p.m. in Room 0440, Hibbs Hall, 900 Park Ave. This Fall 2026 course is part of the VCU General Education Curriculum and the Practical AI Minor. Play with AI, learn with fun, be future-ready with AI, no coding experience required, low-pressure learning environment. This is a hybrid-synchronous course with two meetings each week: one online synchronous session will include a discussion about AI and machine learning applications in teaching and learning, assessment policy and research. One in-person session in which students will explore AI tools and create projects that apply AI/ML to real-world problems. No quizzes. Instead, students will work in teams to explore, develop and propose an AI/ML-based idea to address a real-world problem. This course is designed to be a hands-on, beginner-friendly AI playground for students from different backgrounds.

LEDstudio and Technology Services have created resources to support faculty in making sure their digital course materials are accessible to all of their students. This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have GAD or symptoms of GAD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of cold water immersion on GAD symptoms with specific focus on blood vessel function. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principle Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
