Volunteer at Belmont Food Pantry
Thursday, Jun. 4, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Meet at the Pace Center, 700 W. Franklin St. on Thursdays this summer beginning June 4 to ride to Belmont Community Resource Services, 3510 Broad Rock Blvd., to work in their food pantry. The pantry is outdoors so dress accordingly. Participants must be available until 1 p.m. because it is a 20-minute drive from VCU. Volunteer to drive students or Pace will provide a Lyft ride.

Cathedral Place Bus Stop Closure (June 3-4)
From 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 4, the Cathedral Place bus stop will be closed due to church activities. During this time, the RamsXpress stop at Cathedral Place and Floyd Avenue will be moved to Floyd Avenue and Cherry Street. RamSafe buses will also be rerouted to pick up passengers from Cabell Library on Floyd Avenue. Track the buses via the Ride Pingo app, downloadable from your phone's app store.

Participants Are Invited For Study Examining the Impact of Cold Water Immersion on Symptoms of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have GAD or symptoms of GAD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of cold water immersion on GAD symptoms with specific focus on blood vessel function. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principle Investigator: Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
