Employee Health Highlights – July Is UV Safety Awareness Month
UV Safety Awareness Month reminds us to protect our skin and eyes every day by using broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, reapplying every two hours, after swimming or sweating and wearing 100 percent UV blocking sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat. Limiting direct sun exposure, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., helps reduce the risk of skin cancer, premature aging, and cataracts while still enjoying summer outdoors.
