Central Virginia SoCRA Chapter Meeting
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research invites the VCU community to attend the next SoCRA chapter meeting in the Goodwin Research Laboratory, Room 131. Patti Feldt, A.A.S., C.C.R.P., training and education manager, Clinical Trials Office, Massey Cancer Center, and Shirley Helm, M.S., C.C.R.P., manager of clinical trial administration, Clinical Research Services, Wright Center CCTR, will lead the presentation titled, "Exploring SoCRA as a Professional Credentialing Organization."

2017 School of Education Annual Research Colloquium
Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The School of Education presents the 2017 annual Research Colloquium in Cabell Library, Third Floor Conference Room and Atrium. The schedule will be as follows: keynote speaker from 10-11:30 a.m.; student research roundtable and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.; a panel discussion from 1:15-3 p.m.; and reception from 3:15-5 p.m.

Seats Still Available: UNIV291 'The Science of Happiness'
VCU offers "The Science of Happiness (UNIV 291), a three-credit course exploring the causes of mental health challenges and the factors that promote well-being, team-taught by faculty who specialize in these areas. A research-based, interactive class, "The Science of Happiness" helps students learn effective ways to positively impact their well-being and lays the foundation for success in college and beyond.
