'Discovery of Genetic Predictors for Central Nervous System Drug Response: The Path to Personalized Treatment'

The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research holds a seminar, "Discovery of Genetic Predictors for Central Nervous System Drug Response: The Path to Personalized Treatment," presented by Joseph McClay, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science, in Main Hospital, Learning Center, first floor (across from the cafeteria). Faculty, staff, students, patients and families are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

VCU Recreational Sports: Open House at Cary Street Gym for Faculty and Staff
Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
VCU Recreational Sports holds an open house at the Cary Street Gym for faculty and staff. Attendees will learn about the benefits of becoming a Rec Sports member. Fitness staff will be holding free group exercise classes and doing body composition tests.

Weight Watchers Meetings on Campus

Weight Watchers@VCU holds meetings every week on campus. The Monroe Park Campus meetings are held on Tuesdays at noon in Harris Hall, Room 5173. The MCV Campus meetings are held on Wednesdays at noon in the Alumni House. Special pricing and reimbursement is available to employees eligible for health care benefits.

2017 Summer Fellowships for Undergraduate Research at VCU: Call for Proposals
For the year 2017, the VCU Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) offers undergraduate student fellowship awards for research projects mentored by VCU faculty. Successful student/faculty partners will receive funding of $2,000 ($1,500 per student, $500 for faculty mentors).
