QTPOC Student Collective: First Meeting

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs hosts the first Queer and Trans People of Color Student Collective meeting of the semester in the University Student Commons, OMSA Office, Suite 215. This group is for all LGBTQ+ identified students of color to socialize, organize and network with each other.

The Translational Partnership for Mental Health hosts guest speaker Michael Southam-Gerow in BioTech One, Suite 101, Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics Conference Room (1-160), to discuss his experience with translational science from a clinical perspective. Give Kids A Smile Day at VCU

VCU Dental Care's Pediatric Practice offers free services in the Wood Memorial Building, Suite 315, to children ages zero to 18 in need of dental care who do not have dental insurance on "Give Kids a Smile Day." ACE Group Exercise Instructor Prep Course
VCU Rec Sports offers a Fitness Instructor Training (FIT) program to prepare students to teach and train on campus. The ACE Group Exercise Prep Course teaches individuals the skills necessary to lead group exercise classes. ACE exam fees are reduced for participants. Course time will be determined by participant availability. The registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 30. Interview with Rec Sports upon successful completion of the course.

FixIT, VCU's on-campus computer repair resource, is available and conveniently located inside RamTech, 930 W. Grace St., for those experiencing computer troubles. FixIT will assess and repair most computer brands from any retailer, including Apple, Dell, HP and Lenovo. Plus, FixIT is authorized for in-warranty repairs. FixIT is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

New Postal Service Mailing and Shipping Prices
VCU Mail Services reminds the VCU community that new U.S. Postal Service mailing and shipping services prices will take effect on Sunday, Jan. 22. This is the first price increase in three years for First Class Forever Stamps. Stamp prices have stayed consistent with the average annual rate of inflation since the Postal Service formed in 1971. All new prices are posted on the Postal Explorer website, http://pe.usps.com
