Supply Drive for RamPantry and Safe Harbor
Wednesday, Apr. 19, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VCU Police holds a supply drive to benefit the RamPantry and The Safe Harbor Shelter. Items may be dropped off at the VCUPD Mobile Safety Center, outside of the campus Walmart, 912 W. Grace St. Items needed include food items, household cleaning products, new linens and personal care items. Officers and volunteers will have a detailed list at the collection site.
VCU Poster Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creativity

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program invites the VCU community to visit undergraduates as they present research and scholarly endeavors at the ninth annual Poster Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creativity in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms and Richmond Salons. Nearly 300 students have put together some fantastic posters profiling their work from the past academic year and will answer questions from attendees.

'Getting to Know Clinicaltrials.gov'

The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Tompkins-McCaw Library present the next lunch research seminar, "Getting to Know Clinicaltrials.gov," in the Tompkins-McCaw Library, Room 109. Alanda Jones, CCTR, will discuss the requirements and compliance processes for clinicaltrials.gov. All intervention studies (not just drug studies) must be registered at clinicaltrials.gov, and failure to register a study may lead to large fines and inability to publish work. Attendees should bring lunch; drinks will be provided.

'What's Your Lube? A Discussion on Sex and Low-Risk Substance Use'

The Wellness Resource Center, "The Well," hosts "What's Your Lube?" and invites the VCU community to have a discussion on sex, low-risk substance use and if it's possible to combine the two in Harris Hall, Room 2114.
Film Screening and Discussion: 'The Connection: Mind Your Body'

VCU Libraries and University Student Commons and Activities invite the VCU community to bring lunch to a film screening and discussion of "The Connection: Mind Your Body" in the Hunton Student Center, TML Learning Center, Room 209. This film is about how frontier research is proving there is a direct connection between your mind and health. Engaging discussion led by Georgianne Ginder, health and wellness counselor, Department of Arts in Healthcare, will follow the screening.

Outdoor Adventure Program: Women's Sea Kayaking Weekend
Saturday, Apr. 22, 2017 at 8 a.m.
The Outdoor Adventure Program offers a women's sea kayaking weekend trip from April 22-23. The group will be traveling to Assateague, Virginia, to spend a weekend learning the basics of sea kayaking, camping on beaches and paddling through wetlands. The cost for students is $75; VCU Rec Sports members is $85.

SAVES (Students Advocating Violence Education and Support) presents a night of performance pieces in the name of advocacy in the University Student Commons Theater. Slut shaming, (un)healthy sexuality and how these contribute to rape culture will be discussed. There will be an open mic session for whoever wants to speak their truth. Snacks will be provided.
CompleX Modeling Troupe: 'The Wiz'

CompleX Modeling Troupe presents its 10th annual spring show, "The Wiz," the popular super soul musical "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballrooms. Tickets are $5 for early bird or $7 at the door.
