Health Disparities Organization invites the VCU community to attend free CPR practice and blood pressure screenings with trained professionals at Second Baptist Church, 3300 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, 23224. Dummies and blood pressure cuffs will be provided for practice.

alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority, Inc. presents #ProjectHer, an interactive Ted Talk-style event in honor of Women's History Month, in the University Student Commons, Virginia Rooms A. The Division of Strategic Enrollment Management presents "Financial Aid 101" in the University Student Commons, Forum Room, for attendees to learn about the fundamentals of the financial aid process. Marc Vernon, executive director of financial aid, will share information about applying, qualifying, calculating and maintaining financial aid.
RADical Listening: Community Conversations with the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA)

The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) holds a "RADical Listening: Community Conversations with the ICA" session in the Larrick Student Center, Jackson Ward Rooms A-B, to hear participant's hopes and dreams for what the ICA can do to be a convener and catalyst for VCU, Richmond and beyond. 'The Trump Presidency and Snoop Dogg'

The Bipartisan Patriots presents "The Trump Presidency and Snoop Dogg," an open discussion forum on the politics surrounding the Trump presidency, in the Larrick Student Center, Jackson Ward Conference Room. Objective facts about the Trump presidency will be presented and attendees will be invited to join in and discuss. The Bipartisan Patriots student organization is nonpartisan and students of both liberal and conservative perspectives are welcome to attend.

The Activities Programming Board presents a showing of "Hotel Transylvania" starting at 7 p.m. and "Monsters, Inc." starting at 9:30 p.m. in the Commons Theater. Movies will also be shown on Saturday, April 1, with "Monsters, Inc." starting at 7 p.m. and "Hotel Transylvania" starting at 9:30 p.m. also in the Commons Theater.

2017 Tech Fair: April 4-5

VCU Libraries and Technology Services present the 2017 Tech Fair on Tuesday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cabell Library, Lecture Hall, and Wednesday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences. Free to all faculty, staff and students; no pre-registration is required. Both days will feature "hands-on" demos, presentations, free light lunch and giveaways courtesy of vendor contributors. Participants can attend information sessions to be entered into special prize drawings.

Handling Dangerous Goods Training

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety conducts required training in the George Ben Johnston Auditorium for VCU or VCU Health employees who handle (as in receipt, pack, mark, label or prepare / sign shipping documents) dangerous goods. Registration is not required. Handling dangerous goods without training or when training has lapsed is illegal and may lead to fines for the handler and the university.
'Caring for Complex Patients: Student Reflections on an IPE Learning Experience'

Traffic Changes for the Monument Avenue 10K Race on April 1
Facilities Management alerts the VCU community of traffic and parking changes for the Monument Avenue 10K race on Saturday, April 1. The race will begin near Shafer and Harrison streets and ends near Shafer and Franklin streets. Anyone traveling to the Monroe Park Campus should enter from Cary St. and allow extra time for detours and parking. Race activities run from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additional details and course maps can be found by visiting the website below.

Policy Open for Public Comment: Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities
The Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities policy is now open for university comment through Friday, April 7. The policy has been revised to include a grievance procedure for student complaints regarding accommodation or accessibility.
